ON SET WITH LAURYN TERRY

Lauryn was incredible on this shoot. The first time I met her, I was honestly taken aback. She’s strikingly tall, standing at around 6’2”, which immediately commands attention. What impressed me even more was her gentle and kind nature. She’s soft‑spoken, open, and always willing to adjust to achieve the best possible results. The shoot itself was an amazing experience, and I truly hope we get the chance to work together again soon. I asked her some questions and read along.

Why did you start modeling?

I started modeling to pursue ambitions I’ve had since I was a little girl. For a long time, I struggled to believe that I truly had it in me. Through modeling, I’ve been able to build confidence and grow into myself. Now, I want to be a representation of beauty for all the little girls who look like me, showing them that they are seen, valued, and capable of pursuing their dreams.

Do you have a fashion icon that inspired this shoot?

It’s hard for me to narrow it down to just one fashion icon; it really depends on my mood. For this shoot, I was inspired by Naomi Campbell. She carries a unique presence that embodies power and confidence, and that’s exactly the energy I wanted to capture.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Looking ahead, I have many endeavors I’m passionate about. In five years, I see myself continuing to walk in my purpose, empowering and inspiring women, traveling the world, and building a life that reflects both success and intention. I’m also deeply grounded in my faith, trusting that God is guiding my path and aligning everything as it’s meant to be.
